I know, I know - I've been a horrible blogger this past week. I really have no excuse - I am in the midst of that holiday fog and nothing seems to get done. However, we did send out our Save the Dates today (I would post a graphic on here but I don't want to ruin the surprise). I'm excited for everyone to see them. In the meantime, our wedding website (not this one, but the one with all the deets on the ceremony, etc.) is:
"I don't want anything!"
Yeah, thanks for that ... but really, what should I get you so that you don't end up with yet another "Lilly of the Valley" bath set that you'll never use?
Ugh ... the holidays were much more fun when Mom would sign the To/From cards with my name and Santa would hook me up with some fab gifts.
I know it doesn't sound like it, but I'm actually really excited about the holidays. Ben and I are driving (yes, DRIVING) to KY on the 23rd and it will be a full-steam ahead week, no doubt. We have Christmas Eve and Christmas day (and Ben's parents, brother, sister-in-law and our nephew, Charlie are coming!) and then our big engagement fiesta on the 26th. We'll spend a few days with the fam and somehow I have to figure out bridesmaids dresses while I am there. That's going to be difficult (given that many bridal places close between Christmas and New Years). We also still have to figure out if we can stay in KY for New Years - but that's an entirely different conversation.
Although we've been busy, this weekend we took some time out to enjoy ourselves when me, Ben and Steph went to one of the most fabulous house parties ever in Coral Gables. I've never seen a house like this in my life. I tried to take pictures and, of course, none of them turned out or even did the place 1/3 of the justice it deserves. Here's a snapshot of the spread that they had in the kitchen (you can imagine that this is where I hung out most of the night ...)
We still have so much more to do before we leave next week ... I can't wait to see you guys (I know most of you reading will be at the party). Until then, you'll find me banging my head against a wall trying to get all of this done. I didn't even put up a tree this year - what's wrong with me!?
Even though we are hundreds of miles away, I can completely relate. I can't wait to see you! I met up with Beth Ann Kovaks today (Sandy) and we talked about how amazing you were as Rizzo.
