First, let me applaud my new wife who has taken to photography with an absolutely terrific eye. She is a complete natural, though this should come as no surprise to anyone who has seen her try, well, absolutely anything she tries. I am posting a few more of my pics below... hope you enjoy.
The first set here is from a drive through the "desert" of Maui which is the result of a volcanic eruption. It's a breathtaking drive that certainly rivals "the Road to Hana" everyone always raves about.
A church located on the back roads from Hana to the mainland. There isn't a visible house within ten miles of this, and to the right of it is the most insane water view.
Post-marital bliss?
I've never so badly wanted to be a weed.
A shot of the road. Nothing much grows as a result of the volcanic rock, but, like in The Little Prince, it's the loveliest and saddest landscape.
Laura and me in front of our favorite strange little red door. We are striking what we believed to be an appropriate pose for this door. Perhaps we were wrong?
--------------------------------------------
Now for some snaps from Hamoa Beach which was across the street from our cottage.
This is a sunrise shot. We were bed by 7:30pm some nights, in anticipation of catching some of the most glorious sunrises we'd ever seen.
A frangiapani flower caught in a spider web.
I like the loneliness of this shot. The slow exposure did some cool things with the water.
----------------------------------------------------------
The next shots are from sunset, also across the street from our cottage. The way the water moves through the rocks is one of the most beautiful things I've ever captured on camera.
----------------------------------------------------------
Around the corner from our cottage, this was the beginning of a hike to the point you can see in the distance. Many of Laura's photos from her previous post are from this hike.
Lonely trees on the hike.
----------------------------------------------------------
Possibly my favorite shot of the trip.
My wife, looking stunning even in silhouette.
The amazing black sand beaches that cover the coast of Maui. Stunning.
Hope you enjoyed! More to come from Laura and from me.

"Proud" two word I doubted. Every little bit of energy, the ability, he always believe in yourself, it's own man. More assertive person, more confident. This is not bad. There's something really proud, if put appropriate post, he would be modest, otherwise he will not go.

One of the major problems that has confronted American society over the last couple of decades in the hyper-partisan atmosphere that is fanned by the 24/7 media. Instead of focusing so much on our differences, we need to celebrate those things that we have in common. If we would only look, it would become very obvious that we have much more in common with most folks than we have differences.
